"generousity of spirit" . . . hmmm . . . was it "generousity of spirit" of spirit when he posted the blog entry that blamed the demise of VFP on the community? I think not. Not only was that a stupid assessment, but it was highly insulting to this community that he professes to care about. I'm not sure if I'd boycott SW Fox because he was there, but I surely wouldn't attend his sessions. I had just been reading these posts and trying not to comment, but "generousity of spirit"? Sorry . . . maybe if he apologizes to the community I could accept a statement like that without comment, but not at the moment.

>I'd say you got that right. As Craig said, they get invited to speak because they are very very good and have consistantly been among the highest rated presenters at all Foxpro conferences. Whatever one thinks of how a particular incident was handled, there is no doubt both Andy and Marcia represent both a very high level of expertise and a generousity of spirit that has benefited many of us over the years. That has to count for something.

>>IME if you just keep beating on people whether they do good or bad, it always turns sour.

>>In this case, these two people are definitely the most prolific visible presenters at conferences and user groups, for no fee if I understand correctly. And now they made this gesture. Sheesh, somebody apart from their buddies has to say something.

>>If people want to poke sticks, take a look at the "contribution" record of certain other MVPs! That's a much more valid target IMHO.
