Thanks for the help...it looks as if something is wrong with my system. I contacted the maker of the control and he installed on his system while we were on the phone..I am seeing a few other errors now. He suggested that I reinstall VFP before trying the next step which would be to reinstall NT I guess.

I did use regsvr32 and downloaded the utility from here. I also found a newer version of the capturePRO control that also exhibited the same problem. (but apparently only on my system).
