I am not putting the U.S. down but we aren't going to get anywhere rehabilitating our world image if we hang onto delusions such as being a shining example to the rest of the world. Most of the rest of the world views us as anything but.


Well, just call me a dreamer then. I do think the rest of the world is jealous of this grand experiment we call the U.S. of A. And, I don't blame them. I would rather live here than any other country. I like to visit the other countries, see the sights, taste the food, experience the people, and their differences, but I only want to live in one country - here. I would hope most people would love their country, but the facts are most don't. There are a handful of countries in the world where people risk their lives to live there. I grow more grateful for this country, day by day.
