>I called the super at Jim's ex apartment building because I hadn't heard anything. He said his wife had called Jim's daughter (the only contact she had), and he said that Jim's daughter was very strange with her. She said she hadn't seen Jim in years and didn't want to have anything to do with him or any condolences.

>The super doesn't know what might have happened between them to make her feel like that, but ... well, families, I suppose.

>Anyway, I guess there is nothing more we can do at this point except to say farewell, Jim. We're gonna miss ya.
yep this sound weird. I almost met Jim some years ago. I don't remember if this was a private mail but he told me at that time that he'd come to Montreal and perhaps we could meet. He told me had family here and that he wanted to visit. I don't remember if there's somebody else in Montrean beside his daughter.
In the end we could'nt meet because he spent all his time with his family.
By the way that was, if I remember correctly, 2 or 3 years ago.
Perhaps the super didn't want to take the time to contact the daughter and gave you an excuse just to make sure you would'nt bug him no more.
