My personal opinion anything except the report writer should be used as a last resort. Remember there is a lot going on in Win95. You have networking, print buffering, a wild bunch of printers out there, etc.

I spent excess time converting a 1/2" label routine from a '???' print routine to a report. The problem was it needed to bypass the Win print drivers & use the printer's draft mode. Does'nt sound too bad till you realize doing anything under 1" & using draft mode if a real pain. There was a real trick to it.

The bottom line that I suggest is to simulate the Grid in the report.
