Using the online Trend Micro HouseCall 6.6 I am not getting the alarm any more, so most probably they updated their virus library which fixed the problem.
In the meantime, I contacted their support and they gave me this link http://esupport.trendmicro.com/support/viewxml.do?ContentID=EN-1036613&id=EN-1036613
which describes how to exclude files from the scan in case anything like this happens again.

I am sorry about the problems.

We had the same results when we used their 30-day free trial version, so it looks like they updated their virus definition file as of this morning - July 9, 2008. We had an online chat with Trend Micro yesterday and made them aware of the issue and they indicated they would give it top priority.
