The chance that I'd win the lotery is many times higher up here. Maybe one or two times a year suchs a situation occurs up here. Only 60 gun deaths (mostly criminals shooting other criminals) a year on a population of 16 million. I'd take my chances. The chance of accidents happening with my gun are far higher.
