Who is choosing those politicians and governments ?

So if I feel I have the right to euthnesia, abortion, gay marriage etc, I should have. Funny, because more often than not the gun control gang feels it is their right to carry a gun but directly oposing the other. So my question is, whether this really has to do with rights? I do not have the right to carry a gun, but I do have the right to:
- Euthnesia
- Abortion
- Free healthcare
- Gay marriage
- Use recreational drugs

The fact is that your rights are restricted to the laws that have been established. And those laws are there for good reason. In the case of gun control it is there to protect the citizens from gun violence, gun accidents and use it as a quick tool to commit suicide.
