Hey, I just thought of something! Though I've never used OLE and can't advise on it,
but I know for a fact, that both VB and Access still extensively support DDE. Can you
try (I mean do you still have time to try) to set up Access as a DDE server and then
poke it for all the data you need from it? And if you're familiar with OLE or its modern
buzz-word-equivalent ActiveX, then that might be the way to go!?
Some things are better be left unknown...NOT!!!
