>>>I have a registered copy of vfp 5.0 and I am ready to upgrade to vfp6.0. I would like to have the complete studio package, but development in anything other than VFP seems highly unlikely atleast right now, however, I would like to play with the other tools to learn a little more about them. Here are my questions:
>>>
>>>Can I get the studio package upgrade even if I only own VFP 5.0?
>>>
>>>Do I need the enterprise version, or can I just buy the professional version since I won't "really" be working with the other studio packages? Any thoughts/suggestions appreciated!
>>>
>>>Thanks.

>>You should call Microsoft sales to get this question answered. As for professional/enterprise, I beleive there is an upgrade path from Pro to Ent...you can ask the sales person this. Professional should give you enough to work with unless you want SQL Server.

VS Enterprise ships with SQL Server 6.5. Both VS Enterprise and Professional ship with a pre-release version of Visual J++ because there is still some work being finished up on the Java Windows classes. There is a voucher in the box that you should fill out and send in. It will get you Visual J++ when it ships. If you buy Enterprise, the same voucher will also get you 1) Sql Server 7.0 when it ships and 2) automatic shipment of all VS Services packs.
