Good post Walter and I agree, however, I do not recall anyone denying the allies were a group of nations or that the U.S. operated alone. Are you assuming in your reading where the U.S. is mentioned in WWII that if the allies are left off that the writer is intentionally leaving them off?

>>>Canada.... I recall another country that choosed to do nothing in the first two years until they got no choice to do something...
>>>
>>>I can't remember the name though...
>>
>>Which is it Walter? We had no impact on the outcome of WWII (as you stated in previous posts in other threads) or we are guilty for not acting fast enough? Will you ever finish insulting this country? You find a way to insult at every turn. When this country joined in on WWII good thing they didn't stop to determine if it would be appreciated by everyone or not. Just admit it, you are anti-U.S. period. It is plain in your posts over the years.

>Tracy, I already exlained it is irrelevant to the discussion. I keep hearing thing we should be greatfull to the US for helping us out in WWII and indeed we are. But you cannot force anyone not to critize another for that the persons owns something to the latter. We are not US clones nor slaves. I get a bit sick of those total irrelevant referals to WWII whenever the US is critisized, even more because the impression I get that many american believe they won WWII. Most of them would never speak of 'Allied forces'. As if they are the only one who could claim victory. So 12 million russians did die for nothing? Was the US involvement a charity to the world or had it to do with hitler and japan declaring war on them? What were the economical reasons? What was the detailed reason of the marshal plan? Why was iraq invaded and we are doing nothing in zimbabwe? Why is Iran threatened and North korea is not? What is the geopolitical policy? Everything the US does, does not have anything to do
>with a charity. It is trying to safeguard their economical interests and political controls over geo strategic important places. It is an empire with all its glory and dirty sides.

>The gun laws, have absolutely NOTHING to do with WWII. You will not hear me complain about military use of weapons. Gun laws are not there to regulate those.
>
>Whatever you think tracy, I don't view myself anti-US. I visit the country once or twice a year. The people I've met are great. I just critisize the huge ignorance of some of the individuals up here. ignorance for uncoloured history and presence not showing any intellect of what is going on and acting on religious believes and conservative stance and therefore blinded form something that should be obvious. There seem a tendency to accept the status quo and above all does not want to think of anything progressive.

>I'm fully aware of the situation the US is in, how it came there and what the challenges are to get out the mess they are in now. I know the difficulties to break from the current political influences. I know the government is actually controlled by the corporate world which only agenda is their own financial agenda.I really hope that the US will repack itself to once again get a great nation it used to be. But that only will succeed when the citizens realise that something needs to change, when they open up their eyes. As I listed before there is a lot of worrysome things going on, that needs to be addressed. And yes that is in my concern too. If the US becomes a chinese province in the future, I don't think that would be to the benefit to any european.
>
>Bottom line is, if anyone is telling me that I should be thankfull of the US contributions to the world and shut up, can expect a reply from me about unbaised information about the not so clean and beatifull side of the US. IOW, One can expect a reply at the same level of bluntness as the message that was directed to me. (and that is the only ammo I would use :)
