There're diferent versions of GDIPLUS.DLL. You may encounter an outdated/one. Try to copy one that works into your application folder.

Prior to using gpimage we were sometimes getting errors displaying photos having high resolution. I've had the logic in place for over a year and the photo resizing in our app is used by a large number of clients with no problems. All of a sudden one of our user is getting the following error when gpimage attempts to resize:
