Yes - you can put TMPFILES = whateverpath in CONFIG.VFP.
IIRC you can add CONFIG.FPW (I think it has to be .FPW) to your project and the executable will use it.
I normally use the -c command line parameter to directly specify the config file to use in the program shortcut or batch file. ie c:\thefolder\myEXE.EXE -cc:\thefolder\config.VFP
