Bill,
I have both 5 & 6.0 on my machine. I have a large dbc with alot of files and views. Using gendbc in 5.0 would result in a very large file, too large to compile. 6.0 puts it into functions - much better. I thought I'd run gendbc on a 5.0 database. It changed it to 6.0 format and made my software fail! I put users on 6.0 faster than I wanted to. Heres a couple of issues I've run into so far.

1) labels - found out today my text on the labels is a different size and are over running to the label on the right (not good)
2) Some reports lost their formats. I'll fix those tomorrow - also not good.
3) C00000FD crashes when docking toolbars on the left or right side of the screen when the Windows ICON is set to maximize! I'm currently working with Microsoft on this one.
4) Had to modify the dates whenever I had something like xDate = {01/31/1998} to {^01/31/1998}.

You may want to watch out for these.

Robert

>>Brett, I just now got off of a Microsoft newsgroup and there were TONS of problems listed by people ATTEMPTING to install Visual Studio 6.0. I was about to upgrade and read this.
