About two years ago I licensed my VFP application frameworks to a large manufacturing corporation for $250,000 as the foundation of a long term development project all billed separately on an hourly basis. When the IT manager read the proposal numbers he looked up at me with his eyes bulging from surprise. I borrowed a quote from the Gucci Family and said to him "Quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten." I did have a big smile on my face but no giggles.
Closed the deal the next week and it'll be two years of full-time billable hours this August and another two to retirement to go.
