>>>>>>What did I do to deserve CC's on messages like this? <g> Seems like you and John only need a couple of pitchers for these late night discussions, no CC's needed. LOL

>>>What you did, was become a friend. So friend, you get to enter the debates!<g> You can always order a pitcher of tea, water, coke, or even, my favorite, lemonaide.

>>I like having some friends whose views differ from mine, so welcome to the club <g>. You should meet Tos. College roommate,Greek ancestry, way right. Probably the smartest guy I have ever known. He was literally a rocket scientist in his early career. Graduated from Northwestern by the skin of his teeth and had job offers up the ying yang. A bright, bright guy. I think all of us who were lucky enough to be his friends picked up phrases and views from him. "Basically" for one. When I say that, that's Tos.

>Tos? is that his first name? I guess the smartest guy I've ever known, besides my dad, is my friend Dr William O. Dwyer, or Bill as I call him. PhD in Psychology. His father was a nuclear physicist, who worked on the Manhattan project. Bill just has an uncanny way of cutting to the chase on any given subject. He is extremely perceptive. He is also an anomaly - a Republican, Christian, conservative college professor!

Tos, which is what everyone but his relatives call him, is short for his last name, Pantos.

I just read something recently about college professors being a lot less liberal than they used to be. The firebrands of the 60s and 70s are retired or will be soon, and the younger ones don't fit the same mold. It's becoming an outdated stereotype.
