>Bring up the task manager and check the processes. I would imagine you kilt the word document, but left something hanging. Another way to test this is to reboot and see if it does the same thing. You might want to download the sysinternals suite from MS and Mark Rossinovich. His process viewer will help you look at the processes, even those being hosted in the svchost processes.
