I don't see how emotional attachment to a business can be patriotic - businesses aren't patriotic. Money is the ultimate prostitute. Besides,

a: in the first case, the jobs go and the money stays... in a tax haven.

Besides 2: Budweis is a German name for České Budějovice (yep, a city in Czech Republic: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C4%8Cesk%C3%A9_Bud%C4%9Bjovice), where they really made the beer the way it should be made (clear water, yeast, hops, barley, no effing rice), and now it's somehow an American landmark... tickle me.
