Marc,

If you use views, you can just create remote version of the views. I do not think that you can find the kind of FAQ/Doc you want. There are too many commands that you cannot send through ODBC and this command set differs for different ODBC source. However, after you bring the data from ODBC to VFP, you can use any fox commands. I suspect that you should spend some time to investigate VFP's Remote View. I jsut finished an application which I built by using local views, and then I use the VFP upsize wizard to upsize to SQL Server. I need add only very little code to the application for the remote version.
