As for me -- I develop VFP independently and have purchased FoxPro since DOS 1.0 to VFP9 out of my own pocket and do not make any money on the projects that I have developed (I do it as a hobby). I have also maintained subscriptions to FoxTalk and FoxPro Advisor out of my own pocket. So it is not just people who have the software paid for them that has this view.

Most companies require revenue from their products....
