>>>>>>I didn't see any polls showing Obama up by 15 points, and I haven't seen any showing it's a statistical dead heat now. Got a link? IAC it wasn't polls that prompted me to say that. It's just where this is headed.

>>>Okay, take a look for yourself. http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2008/president/us/general_election_mccain_vs_obama-225.html
>>>From 6/28/08 Obama is trending downward and McCain is trending up. Obama has held as much as a 9 point lead and now is down to 4%. What IS your point?
>>
>>That Obama wasn't ahead by 15 points and it isn't a dead heat now. You're the one who made that statement and I asked you to substantiate it. You still haven't.

>I think I said, he was ahead in the polls by 15 points, which is what was being reported all over the universe, which was the case. I never believed it, but it was being reported. Now, they are saying Obama is ahead by 4%, and I would call that a dead heat, this far out.

We should just let this go before you tie yourself completely in knots. In your initial message you were crowing that Obama's 15 point lead had been whittled down to statistical insignificance. Now you say you never believed it was a 15 point lead. Sort of like if you put enough ping pong balls in the hopper and write over the numbers on them enough times we'll all get so dizzy we'll forget what the original numbers were? Arguing numbers with you is like playing three card monte.

One thing I'm sure we can agree on is it doesn't make much difference what the polls say now. The only count that matters will come the first week in November. Or maybe a month later if Florida is involved <g>.
