I HAVE THE SOLUTION...
The user's network connection was disconnected by a hyster, cutting through a ceiling cable. Rather than tell anyone aboutthis, the user "repaired it" himself. (Said he used scissors and tape.)
When I went to check it out... Found two wires crossed!
Replaced damaged cable run, and everything works fine.
(wish user had told me this two dayts ago.)
