Laws in the US appear at several different levels. Most criminal statutes emanate from state legislatures, then there is a set from the Feds, and some on local levels for torts and such. In Tennessee, we have the 300 strikes, and keep swinging son, you'll get there rule.<s> I'm trying to push the legislators toward some reform for this situation, but so far, they don't like my 10 strikes and grind them up for fish food idea.....
