>Combined with your other thread about stripping comments out of your code, it sounds like you have been legally compelled to provide source code against your will.
Al, I appreciate your concern and you have a valid point, both of which I appreciate. Legal action require documents and there are none.
Well the industry there a few days back physically beat up some officers, thus the fallout. It is more like a fishing expedition in the industry. The problem is that local programmers there have already set a precedence by giving the source code away without any resistance and I just got famous for declining it. My lawyer still does not want me to give the source code, being a small shop myself I can only do so much.
Now the comments contains names of other clients who have requested changes in the past. Do I keep the comments and expand the fishing expedition to more clients? Are comments - source code? Though I know I don't have the lawyer-client immunity with my clients but can I and should I make a difference?
Thanks.
