I chose to backup all databases for the server daily using a subdirectory for each database. The Maintenance Cleanup task on the other hand does not have an option to delete backup files older than a certain time in the database subdirectories.

Other than naming each subdirectory or placing all files in the same directory is there a way to make the delete process go into the subdirectories? I tried using an asterisk for directory name but T-SQL doesn't like it.
