>>>"Pošto kupio, poto prodao" (for how much bought, for as much sold), i.e. just telling it as I heard it. Haven't seen the thing in my life or elsewhere - and maybe both stories are true, that it is easy to do the stuff it's made for, but very hard to make it do other stuff, just like any framework out there. Also possible that the story I heard is old, and that the newer versions are better.

Hi Dragan

I am porting my stuff to Oracle backend nowdays.

Would not spread much of stories but just say that our VFP application outperformed Oracle platform born app of simillar specs
on multiple accounts. Functionality, Usability, Flexibility, productivity, cost effectivness. More or less everyting.
Fox rocks on all accounts ;)

But all that is from user experience and developer productivity standpoint.
Now Oracle is Oracle, more or less everybody agrees that it is the best database platform out there.
If there was not for VFP/EOL announcement, I would probably use Oracle just as reliable data storage and nothing else, but as
things are going, I will be reserching/moving on Oracle bound dev. tools as well.

Did not like idea of using Oracle at first, but now as things are going,
expanding Oracle 'footprint' is good on multiple accounts ;)
