John, please check Charles´s post and my replies, I think he understood the point I was trying to make. I am sorry if you are personally offended, the point is not "what has happened", but was is happening right now.

I never mentioned "What's happened in Argentina over the last 30 years", I mentioned what happened 30 year ago. By the way, we never had a five year civil war about deciding if part of the population should be considered slaves or not, but you don't see me refering to that, do you? But if you just want to play the "my country is bigger than your´s" card, be my guest, you win, I loose, end of discussion.

Also, it was more than one dictatorship. You mean nazis like Dr. Wernher von Braun, the creator of the V2 bomb? Oh not that one, he did not find refugee here. But I don´t think that was the point, but if you would like to talk about that too, no problem.

The point I am trying to make is about upholding the law and respecting human rights, and being "the good guys" always. America is not "the good guys" of the world anymore, quite the opossite I may say.

If in the process of "fighting the bad guys" you employ the same or worst methods that the bad guys use, you in fact become "the bad guys". I am talking about the process of slowly forgetting about the law and human rights, as a means to fight terrorism.
