Hi Experts,

I am currently doing an app which requires Chinese names as well as English names to be part of the database.

So far, my tinkering has successfully stored Chinese characters in VFP tables. I can also do the same in MySQL tables.

Problem lies in the 'interoperability' - using CursorAdapters or SQL Passthrough to 'select' or get MySQL data with Chinese characters will yield data with 'half-baked' data - supposed to be Chinese char fields have a mixture of ??? and Chinese characters. Also, 'saving' data with Chinese characters in a VFP cursor into MySQL will generate ODBC errors.

Any guys with experience in maintaining tables with Chinese characters to and from VFP and MySQL?

Help!

Thanks!

Dennis
