>>>Because she can. Because the tournament organizers think her presence still has the ability to raise attendance. Because, of all the golfers in the LPGA, she is still the only one where people are curious as to if she could compete with the men.
>>
>>I can't imagine why though. She can't seem to compete on the women's tour.

>Not true. when she's on her game she is good as anyone on the lpga. She's came close to winning a couple including couple of majors.

Are we talking about the same person? In her 4 years on the LPGA tour, she's finished 2nd once, 3rd a couple of times, and has either missed the cut or withdrawn in most of her tournaments. She even had a major streak of 24 consecutive rounds shooting over par.

>In 2004 she missed the cut by one shot at the pga men's season opener, Sony Open in Hawaii and in 2006 at the John Deere open. She did win a men's competition, but that was on a minor Asian tour.
>She has a lot of skill, but her mind is messed up from all the crap she's been through. But she is showing some signs of getting her game back.

Well, it has to come back a long way.

>>Why would anyone think she can compete in the men's tour.

>>Not that it matters. Afaic, they should simply open up the men's tour to allow anybody to try to make the cutoff who'd like to. Can't see how it would hurt them

>It's like applying for a job. You got to have at least minimum requirements or else you're just wasting everybody's time.
>Beside players like Tiger Woods and Michelson wouldn't like having to play with bunch of weekend hackers even for just two days.

OK, I guess you have a point. I can just imagine how they'd feel if they had to play with me in their foursome.
