I tried that already. I get "Unable to set the AutoFilterMode property of the Worksheet class.."

FYI, the help here http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/microsoft.office.tools.excel.worksheet.autofiltermode(VS.80).aspx says you can set it to False, but not True.

Probably because setting AutoFilter to True turns on the arrows automatically.
