>>I don't think any media specifically regarding an election has come close to surpassing the Chicago Tribune the day after the Dewey/Truman election. It comes close today though. I was watching CBS news tonight, and then NBC and both carried a story on the number of journalists covering the candidates - 2 for McCain (yes, that is correct - only two) and too many to count for Obama on a daily basis. McCain's website is even doing a poll on it:

>That stat about only two journalists covering the McCain leaves me skeptical. I haven't had any trouble keeping up with news from the McCain campaign trail. Those two journalists must be doing a heck of a job.

So much for demanding that Obama go to Iraq. Given McCain's recent problem with the surge timeline, his follow on surge-before-the-surge surge claim (which too is timeline challenged), his reference to the 'protected by the surge' sheik who was actually killed during the surge, CBS editing out his surge timeline error & replacing it with a reply to a different question.... less press for McCain might be a good thing at this point.
