>>>>>>Last week I had a chance to visit Vancouver for the first time in my life. What a beautiful city! In addition, gentle weather, clean air with ocean aroma, the ocean itself, remote mountains, the forest…., I envy you, people, leaving there!

>>>>>I think it's a beautiful place too, but you know, when I was living out west in Edmonton, I had to go to Vancouver fairly regularly, and after a while I found myself beginning to feel a bit claustrophobic surrounded with mountains and water. Of course, when you get up into the mountains, the claustrophobia goes away fast.

>>In the eye of the beholder, of course. Fair enough. I have spent quite a bit of time working in Denver and California and the view of mountains never even started to get old. My second long stint in Denver (several months) the client rented me an apartment in Englewood, a south suburb, and the commute to work was north on I-225 and then west on I-70, straight at the Rockies. Spectacular! It sure took the edge off going into the office in the morning.

>These days, that's a HORRIBLE commute because of traffic.

It wasn't exactly uncongested then. I didn't say it was fast, just beautiful ;-) All the more time to enjoy the view of the mountains, right?

Whatcha doing in Denver? And any Chicago visits coming up?
