Exactly the image it was supposed to bring... the film is torn somewhere in the sprockets, the current frame is still there but not moving anymore, taking up all the heat from the projector's lamp, and you can see the projection of the plastic melting. Actually, the phrase is so widespread that this is exactly how the "Marathon family" movie ends.

Actually, not celluloid - it would burn. It's a newer type of plastic, don't know what kind exactly.
