Nope, I had 2 PCs and an IBM-AT by then I was doing a ton of media conversion from CPM machines and main frames onto PCs. I had a 9-Track tape drive (the big real to real tapes) on my original PC 8-) I still do the main frame work but the volume is way lower these days.
My dad had a TI-99 but he was in Wisconsin and I was on the West Coast so I never really got a chance to play with it.
