You know that the most important information they want from you is your full name and rank within the organization...Not just name and rank but the fact that you are an "American Soldier." ;-)
Did you notice that his retraction apparently required punctuation correction before publication? The original message has a few common grammatical/punctuation errors but is perfectly understandable in its current form. Perhaps it too received attention before it "escaped" into the public arena.
