I wonder if Soros is shorting the dollar in anticipation of his candidate winning <g>

>I have quite a few friends who do very well. A friend of mine just moved 100mil overseas to swiss banks. Another friend took 12mil from his bank (he left 100,000) and had an underground safe built to store it in. If those with the money the banks play with pull it out (according to them all of their friends are doing the same), it will be a disaster. Not to mention that right now Kuwait and China almost own this country (see previous news stories on 60 minutes regarding loans the U.S. has taken out from both countries to stay afloat each month). Many are moving to their money to Germany (Germany will do well when the U.S. crashes).

>Fear has taken hold of those who can really have an effect. Many are promising that if Obama is made president, due to his tax plans, they will move everything overseas (this is not a lie, this is what they tell me). Just heard all of this today, so I started calling around. I'm sure some of you know a few doing the same. If everyone knows someone who is doing the same, that is a lot of someones. These are not folks with 1-50,000 in the bank or even less than 1 mil. These folks are moving serious money.

>I don't think if this is widespread it will be in the news. Probably confidential for the bank and would cause a panic.

Charles Hankey

Though a good deal is too strange to be believed, nothing is too strange to have happened.
- Thomas Hardy

Half the harm that is done in this world is due to people who want to feel important. They don't mean to do harm-- but the harm does not interest them. Or they do not see it, or they justify it because they are absorbed in the endless struggle to think well of themselves.

-- T. S. Eliot
Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for lunch.
Liberty is a well-armed sheep contesting the vote.
- Ben Franklin

Pardon him, Theodotus. He is a barbarian, and thinks that the customs of his tribe and island are the laws of nature.
