Craig, FWIW KG and I went quite a few rounds online before we discovered some common ground. "Common ground" is the name of his company so I guess I should have expected that. ;-) IMHO you and he have a lot more in common than you have differences but if the relationship is caught up in grudges and grievances then you're going to keep hearing from him whether he is banned here or not. I'm not sure what he's supposed to have said that so injured you (or whether you are reporting a complaint of another blogger who was very cross at one of KG's comments) but IME it works much better to discuss things with him rather than trying to censor and block. As you've found, that won't work. Up to you. What I found was that KG is a very smart fellow with a lot to offer.
