Hello Christof,

So you can't reproduce the problem? Hmmm..
In any event, it is missing the vertical grid lines only at design time, but is fine at runtime.

I am using writexpression(), **I think**, because from what I've read, that is the 'proper' way to assign values to properties, at design time.
My understanding is that the expression must evaluate to a string. I have *no* idea why you shouldn't or can't just set the property.
This is my first usage of writeexpression.. I am just starting to tinker with it. I found, however, that I got the same result when I assigned it directly.

Since your post, I just read a 'how to' on writexpression by Steven Black, on the wiki. It seems way more involved than I originally thought.

But, believe me, if all this is overkill and I can just set the property, I'd be happy to!

Thanks!
