Yeah, I think you're right ... I had been "warned" (humorously of course) about Tom before I met him. But, he still got a good friend out of the deal, so that's not too bad. <g>

Tom was a true gentleman. He is the only person I ever met who never had a bad word to say about anyone.

I didn't know it until after I met him, but Tom only lived 30 miles from me (he lived in Novato, I lived in Napa). So, I frequently went over to his house and we'd go out to dinner and go back to his place to watch his taped TV shows afterward. He taped all the Survivor shows and The West Wing ... those were his favorites, so of course I had to watch them with him. I think he was sad to see me go when I moved up to Washington. I still miss him. =0(

Andy and I still miss him too. He and Steve Dingle went with us to Las Vegas when we got married. I actually have pictures of Tom wearing shoes. And, of course, one night he had to pick up two young blondes - and I have the pictures to prove it <s>.
