>I'm having problems with a peer to peer network. I have 3 workstation (2-Windows98,1-Windows95) with CNet 10/100 PCI ethernet cards and a CNet 5-port hub. I can see everything within the network when the machines are first booted up, but then the network will start dropping connections. I'm going to check the IRQs and test the cards and hubs tonight. What I was wondering was:
>Has anybody come across problems with Win98 & Win95 not playing well together in this type of enviroment?

There is a known bug with the Win95 Network Browser that can cause all stations in a workgroup or domain to become 'invisible' if a Win95 system is the Master Browser. Try setting a Win98 box as the network Master Browser (in Control Panel/Network/File And Printer Sharing for Microsfot Networks/Properties/Browser Master set to 'Enabled' on one Win98 box, to 'Automatic' on the other Win98 box, and to 'Disabled' or 'Automatic' on the Win95 boxes - preferably 'Disabled' if the Win98 box set to 'Enabled' is up and running at all times.)
