We have VFP, Delphi and .NET developers.

Delphi builds small and fast .EXE files. Delphi has a lot of companent come with compiler package. But Delphi's native textbox companents doesn't have VFP's texbox functionality. There is a textbox which cannot attach any database field but has inputmask. There is another textbox which can attach database field but has not inputmask... So our developers use 3. party companents with Delphi.

Delphi is on the way same VFP's. It was populer before .NET. There is no reason move to Delphi. If you want to move from VFP, you should prefer C# or VB.NET. Don't try Delphi.NET. Our developers say it's trash...
