You can open and view, but if you try to view the memo field in each record in the table individually, I'd be willing to bet that at some point, you'll generate that message.

If the table isn't too big, you can do it manually to see on which record the error happens. Otherwise, write a bit of code to print out the record number and memo field in each record. See where it crashes.
