>Hay is right on the English/Welsh border (about half way along). My farm is in Wales but the eastern boundary (for about a mile) is also the national border. Hay is small -maybe 3,000 people but is, supposedly, the town with the most books per capita in the world ( I forget the book count but it has about 23 miles of shelves!)

That is so cool! You live in an absolutely beautiful area. Any problems with wild animals attacking your livestock around there? This country is so big, that those who have livestock in the really rural areas sometimes have problems with coyotes, large cats (mountain lions, bobcats), wild boars, and wild dogs. Sadly, I've had to shoot at a bear, a bobcat, and wild rabid dogs when I lived in the country, not to protect livestock, but children.
