I just enrolled my daughter at one of the local colleges. Many states have programs now where high school students with a good GPA and a drivers license can attend college courses on the college campus and get both high school credits and credits toward a college degree. Works out great. Half of her classes are at the high school and the other half are on the college campus. Gives the student a peak at college level courses in advance of a full-time commitment. The high school pays for everything except the books. My daughter just enrolled, got her college id, parking permit, and student fee waiver for NOTHING. I only had to pay for the books. I've never seen college so cheap (well, we all know that the books are expensive)! A great opportunity. Now, if only she didn't have to pay for the parking pass at the highschool - it is $60.00/yr!

Now, if only I could figure out a way for her to stay in highschool for 3 more years. I could get the 1st degree tuition free... :o)
