No doubt, but putting cops in the jury pool, is just a dumb idea. Only a fraction will be chosen to serve. Personally, I thought I would make a good juror, because of my experience. I have worked in the criminal courts and listened to cases where i thought, "what is this guy doing here, there is no case?" Anyway, I think having the jury pool representative of the cross section is a good thing. The reality is though, most come from the lower socio-economic section. I would hate to be involved in a case that involved some complex issues....
