>Funny, I tried to install it on my system this past weekend. My biggest complaint about people who complain about Vista is that they don't have powerful enough systems to run it. Well, my system is underpowered, and it didn't go so well. I tried using the imbedded video card, and that didn't go so well. I tried to install a bit more powerful video card, and Vista didn't recognize it right away so I decided to reinstall again. I did that, and the performance wasn't much better, but was bearable. I installed all of my stuff and customized the system, and then tried to connect to my network attached hard drive. That didn't work, and I saw on their site it had something do with Vista only supporting NTLM2 authentication, and I needed to download a registry change from the manufacturer's website to fix it. I did that, got the BSOD, and got frustrated and gave up. I am trying to install Server 2008 now instead, but it seems I still have the problems with my NAS. Sigh. Oh well, I
>will probably go back to XP and try Vista again when I get a better machine. There are tons of cool features, and I am excited about the Media Center additions in Vista Ultimate.

Memory is really key. (What did you say again? <g>). The first time I tried Vista was on a semi-forgotten laptop with 1 gig of RAM. I didn't like it. If you give it room to run, it runs just fine.
