I know exactly what you mean. In fact, I've noticed around here that the JWs are getting younger. I see a lot of teens now doing the knocking and annoying. I think it's time for us all to band together and start going to their homes to tell them our religions are better than theirs.

>Can't you put up a 'No solicitation' sign? :o) A couple of days ago there was a knock on my door. It was a woman in her 30s with a young boy around 9 or 10 years old. They were visiting on behalf of the Jehoveh's Witnesses. She was handing out their newsletter and he held the bible with a notepad. Really infuriated me that she was dragging around a 9 or 10 year old boy. I had a clear image of 'indoctrination.'

>>My biggest fear about the DNCL is that once I put my name on it, I'm going to be getting more and more idiots knocking on my front door. And my front door has neither call display nor an answering machine.

>>>I will also put my phone in that list as soon as it open.

>>>The CMA list is available to anyone willing to pay for it. But it's not mandatory, the client can ignore that list if he choose so.
>>>
>>>From what I understood, charities, political parties and newspapers will be excepted from that list. Charities, I can accept. Of course, the politicians protected themselves, I call that an abuse of power. The newspapers, I can't understand. They're the biggest offenders in my case, with as many as 2 calls per day on some occasion. Why are they excepted? Probably that some exchange of favors were done...
>>>
>>>Don't forget that your entry will be good for only 3 years. After that, you will have the responsibility to re-enter your phone number in the DNC list. I can't understand why they didn't chose to imitate the US with a lifetime entry.
>>>
>>>This is a first draft, hopefully it will improve over time.

>>>>It is just about to be introduced (September 2008 I understand). I'll be camping out to get on it. The problem is that there will be so many exemptions and loopholes that I'm not sure how much good it will really do. We'll see. Of course, about to be is a relative term. The government originally promised such legislation back in 2004, and here we are 4 years later.
