Has anyone used WCF MM 3.5 to access the object model on a MOSS machine to run a custom wildcard search or any app for that matter on the user machine. Implementing MM WCF on non-MOSS machine works fine but not a 32bit or 64 OS MOSS machine on 2008 server. We can use the built-in MOSS search but there is no wildcard option; so we built our own and it works fine on the MOSS machine. However, we want to use on the client machines but, of course, the MOSS object model is only present on the MOSS machine. We can setup the WCF process on a non-MOSS machine but not a MOSS machine. There seems to be a restriction on the generation of new sites, externally, outside of MOSS environment.

Kevin, have you tried your WCF MM 3.5 procedure on a MOSS machine?

Thanks!
Stan
