And if more colors were offered and advertised, they would probably be bought. Also, note that it's the preferences of the buyers of the new cars. Only a few repaint them when buying second hand.

And I AM putting my money where my mouth is: bought a nice Bordeaux red mouse for my wife's laptop... and the other choices were steel blue, and about four colorless tones.

I know you'll remember this next time you get to buy something. The choice (of colors) is limited.
