What you might want to do is look at is Java Swing. The interfaces are beautiful.

Java will run on any desktop. One OEM offers a 64bit DBF engine for Java that doesn't have to go through an ADO intermediary.

There is also the iPhone SDK.

Java is everywhere - and if you have some miles developing PRG classes with VFP, then Swing will be a natural migration. The Swing SDK is free.
